Who Zaxloape Is and How We Started
Zaxloape is a new, small furniture brand focused on crafting essential pieces from solid wood. We do not produce transient items; instead, our focus is on designs that are durable, profoundly useful, and built to be long-lasting. Zaxloape’s philosophy is to create carefully made pieces, intended to be repairable and maintained over time, rather than disposable.
Current Operations and Products
Currently, Zaxloape is a small workshop, and we are in our initial year of operation. We are focused on building our foundation with basic, enduring items. Zaxloape’s current product line includes customizable dining tables, coffee tables, bookcases, media consoles, and simple storage solutions.
Sales Channel – Strictly Online
As a small business, Zaxloape operates on a strictly online Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) model. This helps us keep costs low and connects us directly from our workshop to you, eliminating expensive retail markups. You can find and purchase our products only via our website, where we have set up a simple form for you to customize basic details like size or finish color.
Zaxloape’s Customers
Our customers are those who seek practicality, genuine quality, and purchasing transparency. They are people willing to invest in solid wood that is carefully handcrafted and want a piece of furniture that will endure, rather than chasing constantly changing trends.
Zaxloape’s core competence lies in the technique of working with solid-wood material.
Primary Materials: We mainly use durable woods like Oak, Walnut, Ash, and Maple, chosen for their stability and pleasant feel in use. For hardware components, we aim for reliable solutions, such as ball bearing slides from Accuride (a U.S. expert), to ensure that doors and drawers operate smoothly and reliably over time.
U.S. Wood Sourcing:
We exclusively use raw materials and components sourced from the United States. This helps us better manage the quality and origin of our materials, even though it may cost more than sourcing from other places. We work with U.S.-based hardwood suppliers such as Weyerhaeuser, Baillie Lumber, and Northwest Hardwoods for a stable, large supply of wood. Additionally, we partner with specialty millwork (e.g., Frank Miller Lumber, Baird Brothers) and smaller craft suppliers (Bell Forest, Hearne Hardwoods) to acquire high-quality, unique woods for special requirements.
Zaxloape was born out of a perceived need for Transparency and Durability in the furniture industry.
We believe furniture should be a long-term investment. By operating under the D2C model, we help remove unnecessary retail layers. Our goal is to make costs as understandable and transparent as possible—quotations often separate the costs for raw wood, components, the finishing process, and freight. We are here to provide practical products and support you with advice on sizing or finish samples, ensuring the item best fits your space.
